If there’s anything to know about me is that I hate dressing up. Making me wearing this ridiculous dress and climb hundreds of steps to a church at the top of the mountain is torture no matter how much people go on and on about the journey being a holy one.
What angers me the most is while I’m struggling with walking like my legs have been wrapped in cling wraps, everybody else is walking with ease at least a dozen steps ahead. “Haha, don’t bother waiting for me, people.” I shout sarcastically as I continue climbing. Step. By. Step.

Good job on the prompt Yinglan. We have some churches where you can climb 200 odd steps to the top of the bell tower and admire the view. I doubt if I could manage the first 20, and even if i could reach the top, I’d need an air ambulance to get me down again.

Thank you. Haha, it seems like climbing steps is very popular in some places. I have knee pain and sometimes would have a hard time climbing steps, so I’m with you, climbing those 200 steps might require an air ambulance to get me back down. 😄

Your MC is very down-to-earth, I think. I like the voice of this. ‘Step by step’ is probably how we should approach every challenge in life.

Yes, step by step, day to day, second by second… I think it helps make challenges look simpler.

Baby steps, Yinglan. That’s what my therapist told me after my knee surgery. Climb the steps at your own pace; the view from the top will be just as beautiful when you get there!
