When I took over Pop’s nursery, my friends said, “Have you lost your mind? You’re a CPA, you could be so much more at a firm. Don’t you know a nursery loses money every year? How will you keep it afloat?”
Keep it afloat? I’ll show ’em.
“How did you do it?” Pop asked when he saw the positive number at the bottom of the report at the end of the following year. “I’ve never profited from that company. Never! Now look at you! Net Profit, first year.”
I smiled, “Easy, I made an attraction out of your old truck.”

Sometimes it just takes someone who can think outside of the box to propel a new venture towards success.I don’t blame her for preferring the nursery to an office job crunching numbers. Well told.

Thank you. I don’t blame her either, I would’ve done the same.
