Do you use an air freshener in your home? If so, do you prefer a solid gel, spray, timed release, pot potpourri or something else?

I have a spray can of air freshener to be used in dire situations. I usually keep a bag of aromatic herbs in the bathrooms to ward off odors. Since late summer, I have hung a small bag of freshly dried thyme in my bathroom and a bag of lemon balm in the laundry room. I love the smell of these herbs and hope to refresh the bags when I plant more for the spring and summer.

When good weather permits, do you open your windows to let in the fresh air?

My windows are tightly shut from the end of September until the end of April but there are days in March when the weather is warm enough for me to open the windows to let in some much needed fresh air. The windows are usually shut in the afternoon until after the sun goes down in the dog days of summer, otherwise, I will leave the windows open.

With the extreme variants in weather these days, do you feel the cold in the Winter months?

I’ve been feeling particularly cold, especially in recent years after I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. I’ve been told I’m experiencing something called Raynaud’s Phenomenon.

Meanwhile my mom often complains about the house being too hot, I feel chilly in the house and rarely shed my jacket unless I’m in my room, where it’s truly warm.

Which would you prefer………..to curl up in front of a log fire or log burner, turn the heating up, or go to bed early with extra blankets.

I have been going to bed extra early in the last few days as I’ve been particularly tired. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the cold making me want to hibernate like a bear? No extra blankets though as my room is plenty warm.

I would, however, prefer to curl up in front of a log fire with a blanket. I’ve felt that kind of heat before and it felt better than the options.

      1. Exactly, even when I’m wearing woolen mittens, scarf, and hat, plus multiple layers of clothing, I’m often still cold. People say I should be used to the cold weather by now but with Raynauld’s Phenomenon, I will always be cold.
