CWWC: Which Ways with Dirt Roads

Can you spot the road below?

Believe it or not, this was one of the surprising “twist” I faced during the first day on my Christmas road trip. I took only a few photos of the road knowing I will eventually use it in a photo challenge. Here we are. Voila!

This place is called Moki Dugway. I had no idea until I checked my Google Map Timeline and it’s one of those hidden gems in the southeast corner of Utah, near the Arizona border.

Driving down that 3-mile stretch of dirt road, I could feel every bone in my body rattling like an old skeleton, rocking to every bump on that twisty road. As I manuvered all those switchback turns, I wondered how could a road that looked smooth to the eyes be so bumpy?

I had walked a tiny stretch of the road before getting into the car and I certainly did not feel those bumps beneath my feet. Perhaps, it’s similar to how my eyes don’t see the same thing as the camera sometimes.
