Please Note: 100% fiction!
This wagon has been part of his family for almost 200 years. His ancestors had used this to relocate from the plains to their home in the west. It remained a vital part on his ranch as he provided wagon rides to kids and families during October.
That was over a decade or so ago before an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) caused a blackout, not to mention rolling back civilization by a century. For years, abandon cars littered the roads and airplane debris scattered about random places. Meanwhile, he’s still running ranch and making a living shuttling people on his wagon.

I wonder if people of today would be able to “survive” the days of the wagons.🤔 No phones. No internet. No modern day anything.

I wonder about that, too, especially when the world is getting more and more technologically advanced each day and we’re getting more and more reliant on technology.

Technology is useful and has its place, but putting so much reliance on it is not a good thing.
It’s a tool, not a cure, or answer, for everything.

That’s the way to do it,. It very much sadden me that we are slowing letting different breeds of shire horse die out.

Yikes! An electromagnetic pulse can do that? I’m glad he was resourceful and well equipped to keep on going. It seems as though your MC could survive anything. Imagine what would happen if our survival networks went down – internet, power, communications etc. Wait – that could never happen – could it?

Um, it’s hard to say, anything can happen, especially when the world’s getting more and more technologically advanced.

Perhaps that is what will happen to this civilization!

There’s always that possibility.

Well, it just proves there is a life outside of technology. No doubt, a recovery from the EMP will see the cars on the move again.

I think it will take a while, though, given all technology have been shut off.

Creative thoughts and ideas! The time of covered wagons is more than a century past. Could an EMP happen? Certainly. We stand on the edge, particularly these days. That’s why it is so important to write and express ourselves.

I feel as technology gets more and more advanced, the probability of an EMP becomes more and more probable by the day.

Consider this. Who would be China’s best customer for all the products they export if they tried to wipe out the U.S.?

I can see that. I feel like every developed country in the world is the perfect customer for this.

Does every developed country in the world have the purchasing power and population base of the U.S.?

Probably not but from the novels I’ve read and TV shows I’ve watched, people are unpredictable and one can never tell when a person decides to detonate an EMP to change the whole world.

People are unpredictable. But please don’t count on novels (which are fiction) to give you good information and TV shows are also fiction unless they are documentaries.

But are there any with the purchasing power of the U.S. and the population?
