What to you is the first sign of Spring?

Gardening has made me become more mindful of the seasons and I am now paying more attention to the subtle signs that spring is approaching. Usually, I look for tulip bulbs popping up from the ground. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to count on that this year as it popped up at the end of January. A more consistent sign of spring is new (green) buds appearing on my fruit trees. It’s a sign the trees have slept long enough and it’s waking up.

Do you have a favorite flower at this time of year?

I don’t have a favorite flower. I love all the flowers popping up in spring. I feel cool-weather flowers somehow look better than warm-weather flowers.

Does your country exercise the hour change?

Yes, daylight savings starts Sunday for us. Though it would mean losing a precious hour of sleep, it’s also a sign of spring.

Do you spring clean your home throughout, change furniture around or keep to a normal routine?

Mom cleans the house every other week or at least often enough to drive me crazy with having to move things in and out of my room when she vacuums. I would do the cleaning, except she doesn’t think I’m capable.
