“Wait, I’m confused, why are you handing me a plastic folder with my resume? I know my education and job history inside and out and I know they will be looking at a copy of my resume while they interview me, having a copy of my own resume would just make them think I’m not confident and ill-prepared.”
“You’ll look more professional with something in hand, don’t you think so?” My sister asked, fussing about my outfit – black dress pants, white blouse, and black jacket – my sister sighed, “I still feel like you should wear a skirt, it would bring a better impression, don’t you think?”
“I don’t think a skirt would make much difference,” I shrugged, looked into the mirror, and smiled as I applied a light layer of lip gloss to my lips, “I am interviewing for an office position, sis, not a waitress job, I don’t think a skirt would make much difference.”
“Well, I wish you the best of luck with acing this interview.”
Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Ace“.

It sounds like her sister is taking care of her. May she get that job.

Her sister has a good point. It’s not a fair world, even in an office setting. But then, it might not be a right fit, if that’s the case. Just sayin’…😉
