Six Sentence Story: Ace

“Wait, I’m confused, why are you handing me a plastic folder with my resume? I know my education and job history inside and out and I know they will be looking at a copy of my resume while they interview me, having a copy of my own resume would just make them think I’m not confident and ill-prepared.”

“You’ll look more professional with something in hand, don’t you think so?” My sister asked, fussing about my outfit – black dress pants, white blouse, and black jacket – my sister sighed, “I still feel like you should wear a skirt, it would bring a better impression, don’t you think?”

“I don’t think a skirt would make much difference,” I shrugged, looked into the mirror, and smiled as I applied a light layer of lip gloss to my lips, “I am interviewing for an office position, sis, not a waitress job, I don’t think a skirt would make much difference.”

“Well, I wish you the best of luck with acing this interview.”
