#WeekendCoffeeShare – A Long Week

Good morning! Welcome, though our lovely host for #WeekendCoffeeShare – Natalie – is taking a break this week, it doesn’t mean we can’t have a quick chat over a hot or cold drink. So come on in.

It’s been a long and rather difficult week. The week began with several emails from angry and annoyed customers. Though it was not because of anything I’d done wrong, those emails still soured my mood for the work week. The worst part was the customers didn’t let me explain when I called them on the phone. They kept talking, repeating the same complaints – “You never got back to me.”

If they had listened to me, I would’ve explained I never got their initial email until that day and that just because they emailed one random department within the company, it doesn’t mean I would automatically get it.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I feel my stress levels has once again managed to peak again. I know this because I slept-walked this week – twice – and I only tend to sleep-walk when I’m stressed.

I haven’t dared to tell anyone about my stress other than during my counseling session with my dietitian yesterday. My mom would have said, “What’s there to be stressed about? You have a job, a house, you should never be stressed.”

I had to drive my aunt to and from work a few times this week after listening to my mom complain about those trips costing her a lot of gas. It’s used quite a bit of gas on my car, too, not to mention, it’s a ruin on my gas mileage but I guess it’s better to drive her myself than listen to my mom complain.

She’s been nagging her sister the way she did with me. I now feel like a background player in my home since my mom’s attention has been diverted to her sister. To be honest, I don’t mind being ignored or invisible but an invisible person should be able to have the freedom to, say, go for a drive or have a package delivered without getting a lecture.

Finally, if we were having coffee, I would tell you I am crossing my fingers to hope for good weather this weekend. Some of the plants on my growing shelf are begging to be transplanted, such as the asparagus and cabbages. I hope to get some of the plants transplanted so I can start tomatoes next weekend.

I am starting tomatoes about 2 weeks earlier this year than the previous 2 years. I hope I can get the transplants to be a little bigger when I put them in the ground in May.

Thank you for stopping by. Until next we chat.
