If we were having coffee, I would tell you I had a lot of fun yesterday at the department event. We went bowling, axe throwing, and to the arcade. It’s been about a year since my last visit to this venue. I must say my bowling has improved after figuring out I need to slow the ball down so it doesn’t veer off center. I got close to bowling a strike but that last pin seized to fall.

My axe throwing has much improved, too. Perhaps it was because the venue updated their axes. I actually managed to land a couple of times near the bulls eyes. I joked that maybe I’m now capable of killing with an axe.

The most fun part of the day was definitely the arcade. I never got to enjoy the arcade much when I was a child so I’m taking the opportunity to enjoy it now as an adult. My coworker invited me to partner with her in a Jurassic Park themed video games. I must say, as I bad as I felt shooting those dinosaurs, I had some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time.

As I was waiting for my turn to bowl, however, my doctor finally called with the lab result. I had another appointment with my doctor on Monday and another lab was done to determine whether the increased dosage helped. Unfortunately, the increased dosage had the opposite effect, my hypothyroidism is now hyperthyroidism. The doctor suggested I try returning to the previous dosage and try this for 6-8 weeks.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I’ve been having symptoms the last few weeks and have been suspicious of the condition.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I don’t think I’ll do much this weekend. It’s been a roller coaster weather pattern the last week and it’s forecast to rain this weekend. I shouldn’t talk too much about the weather though. My mom said only old folks talk about the weather, 30-something-year-olds should not talk about weather. Well, weather affects my mood and body, why can’t I be concerned of the weather?
