J is for Joy
There have been times when I’ve used the words – joy and happy – synonymously and even though I’m often confused with my feelings, deep down, I know they are not the same. The feeling of joy does not equate to being happy and vice verse. In my opinion, there are certain criterias that can categorize a person to be joyous and certain criterias to categorize a person as happy. I think those criterias are relative to the person’s experience, so I’m not going to go into it in this post, other than to say, “you know when you’re joyous and you are happy.”

I think joy is a longer lasting emotion while happiness is fleeting.

In my opinion, it’s the opposite – happiness is long-term while joy may be a fleeting moment.

I absolutely agree with you. Joy is something which is more profound than happiness. Check my A2Z posts here: https://www.sundarivenkatraman.in/
