T is for too trusting.
For such a common letter, I had a difficult time coming up with a word for T. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of emotional words that start with the letter T but none of them describe how I’ve been feeling recently.
Trusting, you know what, I am trusting, perhaps too trusting of people sometimes. I trust people will do the right thing and that they won’t go stab me in the back. I feel it’s the optimist part of me at work, always hopeful, and rarely a skeptic. Unfortunately, even getting burned so many times, the optimistic beast inside of me is still very much alive.

I always want to trust, to believe the best of people, but like you, my past colours my present. I would say I am a trusting person, but…

Optimism and trust isn’t a bad thing. I would love to say I’m a trusting person… being burned too many times, I prefer to keep people at arm’s length, and that has it’s disadvantages, too.
