V is for victorious
If you’ve been reading my A-Zs, you will probably know by now that I am an optimist (glass half-full kind of person). I love celebrating victories in life, whether that’s finishing a small task at work or seeing a plant growing a new leaf in the garden, every little thing counts.
Living with a couple of pessimists, I’ve often been called childish for thinking in such a way. It makes me feel sympathetic to the pessimists out there that the world is being looked at in such a sad way.
I actually didn’t know what I was going to do with the letter V until yesterday. I recently began training the new person at work to do my job, not because I’m leaving soon, but because we are in the process of re-organizing the department and my manager wants me taking on other duties. It’s been a slow journey so far as I have to keep reminding myself that this person isn’t me and I need to stop thinking I can just show once and this person will automatically know how to do the task.
However, yesterday, he finally understood and got more done with fewer mistakes. It made me feel great that the training I’m providing him was paying off. I feel celebrating these small victories is a great mood-lifter.

I think celebrating small victories create a happy memory for the day, even if it’s just a small one.
