Friday Fictioneers: The Shoe

Please Note: 100% fiction!

“Mom, I can’t find my shoe.” My son said.

Son of a biscuit, peaking at my watch, I’m going to be so late for work.

“Did you find it?” I asked when the door opened.

“No,” he said, out of breath, “I’ve looked everywhere, mom.”

“You can’t go to school with only one shoe…” before I could finish, he bolted from the car to god-knows-where. I sighed, may as well back out and wait. I shifted the car to reverse and my son’s ass in the camera almost caused me to let my foot off the brakes. He’s found the shoe.
