Please note that this is a work of fiction!

“Yo, come quick,” Matt called his partner over while rubbing his hands in a devious manner, “get ready to witness the most wonderful miracle in human history.”

His partner, Riley, sauntered over and when he saw it, he jumped a step back and nearly knocked a stool over, “What on earth,” he pulled off his glasses and approached again, “are those… are they… hatching?”

“Indeed, they are, pretty cool, right?”

“Cool,” Riley shook his head, “no, not cool; are you trying to kill us; do you even know how insanely dangerous these things are; there’s a reason they are extinct; how in hell did you resurrect them?”

“Dude, chill, you ramble a lot, you know that, I doubt you realize what you said just now was a giant run-on sentence,” Matt laughed as Riley inhaled and exhaled several deep breaths, “yeah, there’s a reason dinosaurs went extinct, it was the universe’s way of saying, ‘I’ve screwed up, please fix it’.”

“And how did you ‘fixed’ it?”

Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Hatch”.
