Why, I don’t know!
I have plenty to do for sure but will I have the energy to do it?
Let’s see.

I spent last weekend clearing out the patches of dead grass and reseeding the lawn. I was in so much pain yesterday that I could barely stand up. Even lying on my bed, every turn was in pain. I had pain from my thighs to my waist to stabbing pain in my back. Who knows how long it will take my body to recover this time since it seems like it’s taking longer and longer each time.
Meanwhile, my fingers were stuck in a claw position.
It took me 2 days (about 8 hours total) to clear out the dead grass and prepare the soil for reseeding. The soil on the lawn is the worst imaginable – hard clay and contaminated from years of weed killer spraying (courtesy of my mom). It’s either harder than concrete or little balls of clay that can’t be broken apart unless with a hammer. When I pour water on it, it just slides off instead of penetrating into the ground. It’s probably the reason why grass won’t grow. I did the entire job using hand tool on my hands and knees because someone in the family borrowed my full-size garden hoe and never returned it. Thankfully, the Japanese-style hoe I bought last year worked wonder.
I ended up reseeding the lawn with a mixture of grass seeds and a miniature clover cover crop. The miniature clover is supposed to be good for the soil. It’s said to help fix nitrigen the soil, use less water than grass, and suppress weed. Hopefully, it can help resolve the bind weed problem. Until it germinate though, I must keep the soil wet, which is what I’ve been doing last night and will probably be doing it again tonight. It doesn’t take long but I also need to water the plants in the container to keep them happy.
After that, I will most likely do a few lessons of Japanese on DuoLingo before writing a blog post or two before heading to bed.

Hope you feel better soon my friend
