Do you prefer a slice of cake from a larger one or an individual item like a bun, scone  or danish pastry?

Both sounds delicious although I do prefer bread over cake, especially savory buns rather than sweet ones.

Do you like sugary items such as doughnuts, gateau with cream, cupcakes or fruit cake?

I love sugary items. I don’t know what normal person wouldn’t love sugary items. I had to do an internet search on “gateau with cream,” it looks like a cake decorated with cream and fruit, kind of like the cake in the picture, is that right? Although I can’t eat much these days, I would love some of each.

Can you bake a cake?

I’m sure with a recipe, I can manage to get a cake made.

Care to share a favorite cake recipe?

I have a cook book dedicated to cakes on the bookshelf in my basement – The Cake Bible. It’s published in the late 80’s and it’s quite useful when it comes to cake baking. Unfortunately, because of certain limitations, I haven’t been able to try out the recipes yet.

My favorite cake has to be a banana cake I made last year. It’s a loaf cake and it was so moist and delicious. I followed a recipe from Good Housekeeping.
