After houseplant #25, named Crawly, Cassie lost track of the number of houseplants she bought after that. She would keep returning to the nursery and would walk out with at least 5 houseplants in tow. Even the owner of the nursery, Paul, would say the moment she would step across the threshold of his nursery, “back for another one, Cass?”
“You know it, Paul. Got anything new?”
“Sure, right this way.” Paul led her to a secluded corner where he stored his most-prized plants. “I got this one, especially for you.”
She eyed the plant and smiled, “I’ll take it.”

Ah, I have a friend who’s addicted to buying plants. I cringe when she leaves town for a month and I’m left to water them.

Yikes! I’ve seen it on Youtube where someone would put something like over 100 houseplants in a small apartment.

This is something I can relate to but not as a buyer; I rescue dying or discarded plants from the nursery near where I live, bring them home and give them new life. It’s very rewarding. Thanks, Yinglan.

I have me a feeling she LIKES going to the nursery for reasons other than the plants … 🙂 And I think he doesn’t mind her visiting, either. …

Well if the plant he is offering is the one in the picture, I’d say she got a good one.

Or she’s good with reviving plants.
