#AtoZChallenge 2025 – Jasper

After Columbia Icefield, my aunt and I returned to the visitor and boarded another shuttle that took us to the Jasper Skywalk – a half-circle walkway with glass floors that allows you to look down at the abyss. If that was my first time walking on glass, I would be scared out of my mind but back in 2017, I had already walked on a few glass walkways that they were no longer scary but thrilling.

When my aunt finally had taken enough photos, we hopped on the next shuttle bus back to the visitor center, grabbed the car, and journeyed onward toward the town of Jasper.

Along the way, we stopped at a couple of waterfalls – Sunwapta and Stanley falls – as well as did some hiking to the Valley of Five Lakes. I also noticed I no longer needed my winter coat as we headed down the mountain to a lower elevation. In many ways, I prefer to visit Jasper National Park than Banff.

    1. Thank you. I think the most scary part about the glass walkway is the first step. Once your both feet are on it, it’s not scary at all. At least, that’s I think and I’m afraid of heights.
