#AtoZChallenge 2025 – Uinta National Forest

The Uinta National Forest is my go-to place during the summer months. There are several national forests near me but I find I like Uinta the most.

The Uinta National Forest is located in the northeastern part of Utah. It features the Uinta mountain range, which is the only mountain range in North America to run from east to west. The forest is divided into several sections. Most likely, I haven’t been to all of them. My favorites are the Alpine Loop and the Mirror Lake Highway. The photo above is from the Alpine Loop and below is the Provo River Falls, a spot along the Mirror Lake Highway.

Why do I like this forest? I think I like this place because of its twisty roads. The roads make for a more interesting drive. What can I say? I like a challenge.
