For the Unicorn Challenge…
Anna couldn’t believe her eyes when she pulled up to the mansion that is her boyfriend, Josh’s house. “Why didn’t you tell me you’re rich?” was the first thing she said when he greeted her at the door.
“I’m not,” he replied honestly, “this is my parents’ place. I’m the youngest of six, this place isn’t going to be mine anytime soon. Trust me when I say, I’m far from rich.”
“Fine, then you’re rich-adjacent, still counts.” The first thing she noticed when she stepped into the foyer were the enormous paintings of old men hanging on the wall. “Whoa, who are they?”
Josh chuckled, “That’s Grandpa Charles, Great-Grandpa Alexander, Great-Great-Grandpa Samuel, and Great-great-great-grandpa…”
“Ah, you brought a girl home,” Josh was interrupted by a woman in a white blouse and pink skirt, “Hi, I’m Imogen, Josh’s sister. You must be Anna, Josh has been talking about you non-stop.”
“You have?” Anna raised an eyebrow, blushing.
“Uh…”
“Why don’t you show Anna the vineyard and the winery? Based on how you’ve talked about her, it sounds like she has a great taste in wine.” Imogen turns to Anna, “Have you ever seen an antique wine press?” Anna shook her head.
“I’m sure Anna doesn’t want to see that thing, it’s old and just sitting out there, collecting dust.”
“Sure,” Anna spoke up, “I love to see the wine press, whatever that is.”

A good story, Yinglan.
I’m glad Anna doesn’t let Josh speak for her!
