#SundayStills: A Few #Feathered Friends

A few weeks ago, I took a stroll in the city park’s Kay Creek trail. The trail runs along a river that offered shade from the summer sun and a view of a lovely river. It’s been a while since I’ve visited the park even though I drive by it all the time. The last time was around 3 years ago during winter. That was when I took photographed this lovely goose.

This park is well-known to be the home of these feathered creatures. As one walks along the designated trail, one will notice the placards with descriptions of different geese, ducks, and mallards.

Even after my recent stroll, this photo of the snowy white goose still remains my favorite taken at this park.

When I visited the park in late June, I saw nothing but Canadian Geese. I think I saw a few ducks keeping cool in the shade but my phone camera was unable to capture them. Canadian Geese are now such common fixtures in these parts that they are everywhere. A few years ago, I would have to go searching for them and crossing my fingers I’d find them. Now, it seems like they’ve taken over the park.

I photographed these guys last summer. I cannot recall the place as it’s been fluttering in and out of my brain for the last few days. I’ve been thinking of re-visiting this place as I have a few day-offs scheduled for the upcoming months. I want to go on a day trip with no one in tow, just me alone, if that’s possible.
