Would you like to relive parts of your childhood?
Not really, when I was a child, I dreamed of growing up, hoping things would be different and that I would be treated…better. Let’s just say, I’m still waiting for that moment to arrive. However, if I have no choice in the matter, at most, I would like to relive my middle school (junior high) years. I’d say those were some of my favorite childhood years.
Did you believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy?
I feel I believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy more than the Easter Bunny since I do not see the point of the Easter Bunny when, really, we’re celebrating Jesus Christ.
Was there a childhood habit you never grew out of?
I think this would be a habit from when I was a baby. If there’s anything I can remember from when I was a baby, it’s that I cannot sleep without pressing my lips to a blanket. Gross, yes, especially in a hotel, but, embarrassingly, it’s still something I do to this day, although I do try to not do that when I’m staying in a hotel room, unless I’m bringing my own blanket. Thankfully, it seems like my brain has been wired in a way that I only do this with my own blankets.
Were you part of a large family or an only child?
I am an only child.
I don’t know where my mom and her siblings heard it from but they seem to have gotten this idea that I’m lonely being an only child. So everywhere I go, someone must tag along like my conjoined twin and when I say I want to be alone, no one seem to believe me. Is it typical for people to think sibling-less people are lonely? Or is it one of those things only my family would think so?

Thanks for joining in and sharing your world Yinglan. I had several friends who were only children and I can’t remember any of them being lonely.

Exactly, just because one’s alone doesn’t mean one’s lonely.
