What color was your school uniform (if you had one)?
I had been wearing a school uniform since I was attending pre-school in China. From what I can see from pictures, my school uniform was a red plaid dress with white collar. I have no recollection of the colors of my school uniform for when I attended elementary school in China. I think one of the colors might had been navy blue but I don’t have any pictures to proof it as there’s little to no photos of me during that period of my life.
After moving to the U.S., my uniform code was a bit more relaxed. It was a white-collared shirt with navy blue bottom – shorts, skirts, or pants. I finally ditched the uniform when I moved to Texas after the first semester of my freshman year of high school.
When working, did you have to wear a uniform or dress color code?
No, I’ve never had a uniform when I’m working. Since the pandemic, I’ve only have to head to the office one day a week. The dress code is usually business casually but to tell you the truth, I think we can wear what we like, we just have to look presentable.
What is your favorite color to wear?
Having worn navy blue for so many years as part of my school uniform, I’ve grown partial to the color. During the summer months, I prefer to wear gray or a lighter color to reflect the heat from the sun.
What color would you never wear unless there was no alternative?
I absolutely hate to wear red or pink but for some reason, my mom and her siblings used to buy me a lot of pinks and reds. I don’t wear those clothes unless it’s laundry day and I don’t have any options. As I mentioned in a previous post, no one in the family really knows me.

Interesting having a red school uniform and your Mom buying you red clothes in later life.
Thanks for joining in and sharing your world.

Between red and pink, I’d choose red any day. Flowers in the garden can be pink but not clothes, that’s too girly for me.
