“So much for wishing to spend winter in a sunny spot.” Sandy sighed as she and her husband, Oscar, stared at the rain-soaked street outside the hotel.
Oscar patted Sandy’s hand, “Don’t let this rain ruin our honeymoon.” Although they’ve been married for 50 years, they still go on honeymoon once in a while and being newly retired, they’re now going on honeymoons all the time. “I’m sure we can tell the hotel to hire us a car to take us somewhere.”
“You think so?” Sandy arched a brow, “Like where?”
Oscar smiled and stood up, “How about a castle?”

I like the idea of ongoing honeymoons. Are they trying to get free stuff from their hosts or keep the spark alive, I wonder!

I think the latter and just trying to waste away the time in retirement.
