
Mara took her seat. It’s been a long time since she’s been to a place like this. It’s been a while since she’s looked up at the sky and asked why things are happening the way they are.
A month ago, she lost the last remaining person she call family – the 4th family member to had passed in a year. Everyone’s getting old, dropping like flies, she thought bitterly, and now, I’m all alone.
As the room filled, she began to feel drawn to the chatter around her. A tap on the shoulder startled her, “Excuse me, are you new?”
