Sunday Poser #258 – Pareidolia?

Do you experience pareidolia? (It is the psychological phenomenon where we see recognizable shapes in clouds, rock formations, or otherwise unrelated objects or data)

Do you see faces in inanimate objects, or do you search for something familiar in an object like a cloud? Do you know why you see these objects?

What the what?! I didn’t even know that’s a thing?

I might have experienced it from time to time but as good as my imagination is, I usually won’t notice unless it’s painstakingly obvious like when I saw this rock that looked like a dog to me on my road trip. I mean, unless one has zero imagination, I can’t imagine anyone who sees this rock won’t see a dog of some kind. I later learned this rock already has a name and it’s “The Sphinx”.

As for seeing faces on things like clouds, trees, and food, I can sometimes see it just as it is but often times, I need to see it on a photo and then study for a few minutes.
