Happy Sunday! Egidio leads this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge with my favorite topic for a theme – Landscapes.
Other than waterfalls and a lake or two during a hike, there’s not many chances for me to shoot seascape where I live. After all, where I live is completely land-locked. The closest thing to a large body of water is the Great Salt Lake and with the drought going on this year, I am hesitant to visit because of the smell and possibly bugs, even though I live only a 15-minute drive away. So when I do go somewhere with a larger body of water than the Great Salt Lake, say an ocean, I will shoot away. This was taken in Taiwan and remains one of my favorite shots of 2025.
I think this is as minimal as I can get with a photo. This is White Sands National Park at around sunset. I know it doesn’t look like it because I was facing north in this photo. To be honest, I don’t do many minimalist photos, since because I’m the type of person that likes to cram as many things into a photo as I can and, well, this photo has nothing to cram in.
Finally, here’s a picture of mountains. I feel like this is a quintessential landscape photo.

Yinglang, how could I have missed this beautiful post? I am so glad I saw it now. You have chosen beautiful landscape images. The ocean, White Sands, and the snow are excellent choices and very well captured.
