What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was probably a handbook for intensive planting. It’s something I’ve been trying the last few months. Intensive planting is the art of ignoring the spacing note on a seed packet and aim to fill every inch of the soil. So when something comes out, another will go in, and never have bare soil.

Do you think movies are better or worse than the books they are based on?

I think there are movies that better and there are movies that are worse than the books that it’s based on.

What is the most memorable movie soundtrack or theme to you?

That’s a tough one to pick. I would pick the Beauty and the Beast theme, that’s definitely an earworm.

Did you enjoy the old musicals (Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Howard Keel, Doris Day etc)

I can’t say I’ve seen them. I’ve seen clips of Gene Kelly dancing with Tom and Jerry and that’s about it. I’m not a fan of musicals in general. I find the actors suddenly breaking out in a song and dance in the middle of a conversation quite unnatural and annoying sometimes.

I think my only interaction with old musicals had been when I used to listen to 50’s and 60’s radio shows and sometimes, when a movies is nominated for an Oscar, a radio version of the movie will be made. I enjoyed listening to the radio version better than the actual movie.
