Sunday Poser #260 – 5 Things I’m thankful for in 2025

Thanksgiving is around the corner- what are you really thankful for this year?

Please do share what you are grateful for at this time of year/ or generally this year. Are you satisfied with your health? Are you doing anything to live a better life?

You took the words right out of my mouth! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, it is only a little over a week away and right now, I am hoping and praying that the weather doesn’t turn on me as I have a scenic plane tour on Thanksgiving to see the Grand Canyon from above. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, it looks like the weather down south will be decent but what I worry most is the weather up north as I have make the drive from up north to down south. 🤞

On a normal Thanksgiving, I would be stuck at home. I remember last Thanksgiving, I was stuck at home all day doing jigsaw puzzles. As fun as that was, I think I’d rather be outside than be at home. On a normal Thanksgiving, I would also write a special post about a few things I’m thankful for. I guess that post will come early this year. So here goes:

  • I’m thankful my physical health is finally back on track after so many years. My weight has stabilized and it’s back to where I was in 2019 but unlike 2019 where I had to work hard by fasting, I’m not doing anything to maintain my current weight, which means I’ve really lost the weight and not because my stomach is starving for food.
  • I’m thankful for all the new places I’ve been to this year. It’s been an amazing year of travel, in which I got to see and visit plenty of places and I hope to explore more places in the US next year.
  • I’m thankful to my co-workers for their assistance and for the fun conversations we have at the office. Those conversations were a good break from all the things I must deal with at home.
  • I’m thankful for the garden. It was the catalyst I needed to get healthy and I believe it’s the thing that healed my body. I’m thankful to still have an abundance of produce even in November and I am thankful for the delicious veggies that gets to be on my plate each evening.
  • Lastly, I’m thankful to the blogging community. I’m thankful for the conversations and that I can almost express my thoughts and feelings and not be judged. I feel like the comments are what keeps me sane and hopeful during the times when I feel hopeless and sad.

So thank you. 🙏🏻
