1. Which do you prefer, Christmas pudding, mince pies, or trifle?
After looking up all three desserts, I will have to go with trifle since it’s the only one on the list that looks appetizing. Hey, at least I learned something new. I learned that Christmas pudding is basically fig pudding and that modern mince pies can be made from berries, not sure if that’s true but that’s something.
2. Which gives you the most satisfaction: Cooking a special meal for your family, Dining with family and friends, Not having to do the washing up afterwards.
How about cooking a special meal for myself? At least I won’t judge when it doesn’t come out looking like the prettiest thing in the world. Cooking a special meal for the family will only make me throw in the towel and walk out because everyone in the family is so judgy and let’s face it, they don’t like anything I do, so why bother?
Dining with friends doesn’t sound so bad, if I have any. Dining with the family will be just as bad as attempting to cook a special meal for them.
As long as my mom’s around, there won’t be any washing up to do afterward because she’ll never let me do it. Also, even if she lets me wash the dishes, she’ll just re-do it after I finish. Again, why bother?
3. Can you recall the best and worst gift you received (any occasion)?
The family doesn’t give gifts. The only thing they know how to give are red envelopes full of money. I call it “guilt money” because they force you to take the money and then make you do stuff for them. So it’s more like a bribe than a gift. My former step-grandmother used to gift me $50 bill for Christmas and birthdays. To me, money with no strings attached is the best gift and money with strings attached is the worst.
4. After a full and enjoyable meal what do you prefer to do: Take a nap, Watch TV, Play board games with the kids.
There is no board games and kids around here and I don’t like take naps since I want to fall asleep at night, I think I’ll watch TV after a full meal. Maybe walk the treadmill with the TV on?
