Happy Saturday to all!

It was an eventful yet uneventful week. It’s eventful because there were lots happening this week. Snow finally came, even if it was only for a few hours. It was the first snow storm of January 2026. This was the second time it snowed this season. It brought a 19-day dry spell to an end but who knows when the next storm will be.
The storm made my drive home a little more difficult than I would’ve liked but I made it home okay. No one asked how my drive was. My mom just focused on the food and complimented on what a great job she did.
Speaking of food, I’m bored with it. It’s as if my mom has suddenly forgotten how to cook. This whole week, we’ve been eating taro rice with Chinese sausage accompanied by a plate of bland napa cabbage. I don’t understand why she’s insisting on eating taro every single night. I need something with taste, something that’s not bland.

I went in for my physical checkup this week. It’s been two years since my last general checkup and it’s been about 3 months since my last lab work. I was curious to see if my white blood count was really back to normal and indeed it was. All in all, for once, everything was normal. The only thing was my A1C and blood glucose was a little higher than I would’ve like, especially when I’m fasting. I guess I have been indulging myself a little too much in sweets in the last few months.
I got a streak notification this week from WP. Apparently, I’ve been posting for 1,650 days without stopping. I’ve seen other bloggers get the notification but I’ve never gotten one until now. The notification hasn’t stopped, as of today, it’ll be 1,653 days. I wonder, do I need to take a break for this notification to stop popping up?
I’d like to thank Natalie for hosting Weekend Coffee Share each weekend. I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a great week.

That’s good news that blood tests are back in range. Take care
