Are you proud to be the citizen of your country?
How do you feel about your country? Do you think that things are getting worse where you live or getting better?
My mom often said, “If I’m not proud to be the citizen of this country, I wouldn’t be a citizen of this country.”
I became a naturalized citizen of the United States when I was 14-year-old. Before then, I was a citizen of China, not because I wanted to be, but because I was born there. I didn’t choose my US citizen path either, I was simply following my mom and after spending more time living in the US than in the country where I was born, I’ve grown to call the US my home. Even when I traveled to other countries, I found there’s nowhere better than my home in the US and this country will always be my home. Even though there are currently many things happening in the country, I feel proud and happy to call this country my home.

So glad you are proud to call the US home. 😊

At this point, it’s the only home I’ve ever truly known.
