Heartbroken, Jake set sail.
But she promised, he thought as he attempted to swallow his disappointment, she promised she’d be there to say goodbye.
Yeah, and you waited, another voice chimed in, for over an hour and she didn’t show. What does that say?
Suddenly, a voice shouted, “Jake, wait!”
On the shore, Samantha was waving her arms trying to get his attention. “Sam,” his heart leapt as he said her name. Immediately, he turned the wheel of his boat toward her.
“I’m sorry I’m…” Sam tried to say just as Jake jumped off the boat, ran, and kissed her.

This is probably meant to be hopeful, but I read something else into it. Maybe jumping off the boat before it’s secured is a bad idea.

I’ve seen it in movies and that seemed quite romantic. 😄 But maybe in reality, it’s not as it seems.

She was probably just sorry that he’d forgotten his sandwiches.

I also wondered if the boat was going to hit something – but the romantic vibe and hearts connecting was really felt in your story. It was quite beauitful….

Haha, no matter what, I feel whatever happens to his boat, he’ll just worry about it later but I think like in movies, the boat will be okay.

yes – the boat just slowly drifts to a stall and waits quietly in the water 🙂
