As a child, how did you make extra pocket money?

I didn’t start making pocket money until I was a teenager, babysitting for one of my neighbors. It was before I moved to Utah and handling a child in the Texas heat and humidity was not easy but, hey, money is money and what don’t we do for a little of extra pocket change?

What did you spend your pocket money on?

Music CD albums and DVDs of movies and TV shows. Those were the days.

Was your first pay packet in cash, cheque (check) or directly into your bank?

It was cash, which made it ever more tempting.

Have you ever received a discount for paying for something in cash?

Sure, I believe I got a 2% discount on my braces because I paid in full with my debit card. This number may not sound like a lot but when the total is over $5000, that’s quite a big saving.
