If you could have an ideal job, what would it be?
I’m not yet certain what my ideal job is, maybe a writer-slash-gardener? I’ve always wanted to write fiction novels, maybe do it in between of the gardening?
Has a job position you held ever been a disappointment to you?
There will always be disappointment no matter what the job is. I would say I have quite an extensive resume for someone my age and yes, there was a lot of disappointments in my past jobs, mostly because I was forced into those jobs instead of I voluntarily applied for them.
Do you believe promotions in the workplace are given to those who work hard, those who are qualified for the job, or those who happen to be friends with management?
I believe in the first two – those who work hard and those who are qualified. Getting promoted for being friends with the management is cheating and it makes me angry when I hear about such things in the news. Promotions should be earned, not gifted.
If you could build your own company, what would it be?
I have tried a few times to be an entrepreneur and build my own company but my ideas were thrown to the ground and stomped by my mom. One was to start a bakery. I love to bake. The only reason I’m not baking right now is because I don’t have the energy to argue whenever my mom says I mess up the kitchen. Another idea was to start a virtual bookkeeping firm where I do bookkeeping remotely for small businesses. I know there’s another idea that floated by my subconscious but I lost it. Oh well.
I think realistically though, if I can build my own company, it would be a virtual bookkeeping business, just because I’ve done it before and kinda enjoy it.
