Reflection

Hi, everyone, I hope you’re having a happy Saturday. I, on the other hand, am sitting in a 4-hour GMAT class today. I’m not sure if I will even have the sufficient energy to write or blog when I get home. Therefore, I’m going to write something beforehand for the next 4 or 5 Saturdays.

Anyway, it’s been a long uneventful week. I’ve been working, constantly alternating between my two-jobs. I wish I can just spend today and tomorrow just do something fun. What would that be? Blogging, writing, and reading.

Ooh, something good did come out this week though. Awards! It’s the most number of nominations I have gotten in a week. Four! Wow! Thanks, guys for visiting my blog and reading what I write!

The next two or three posts will be award posts. Nominated bloggers will be notified by “pingbacks”. You know what those are, right? I will be linking the post back usually to your “about” page or if some of you have it, the “award” page. You’ll know when it’s time. 😉

I love doing award posts. It’s almost like a mini-self-promotion.

Now, let’s what else.

Oh yeah, my mom managed to piss off our tenant yesterday. Late last night, I had to go over there with her and apologize. The tenant said he would sleep on it but he looked pretty upset by what we did and by we, I mean me. Hey, it’s not like I want to, my mom’s always doing this to me. If he threatens to sue, it will be on me.

What happened?

My mom’s nosy and demanding, that’s what happened. On Monday, she had me pretending to be her send an email to the tenant to “request” him to mow the lawn. She says the neighbor’s complaining. I highly doubt that. I think the one complaining is her. So the grass’s a little long, big deal. The guy’s busy. He works 8 or 9 hours a day and usually people come home to relax, not work some more.

Anyway, she goes over to check just about every single day to see if the tenant’s mowed the lawn yet. She complains to me and asks me incessantly when I think he will mow the lawn. Geez, I don’t know. I can’t foresee the future. She even wants me to call the guy and rush him. I told her over and over, “Don’t bother with it, he will do it.”

You see, she wants everything done immediately. So yesterday, minutes before the storm, she decided to mow the lawn. What kind of idiot mows their lawn just when it starts raining? My mom.

She finishes mowing our lawn in less than 30 minutes and then she hollers me to go over to the rental home to see if the tenant’s home. He’s not. I walk back and she clicks her tongue. I immediately know what means, I’m did something stupid. It turns out I’m supposed to go in the backyard to see if the grass’s mowed. Nope.

She asks how deep. Ankle?

I wanted nothing to do with this but she wanted me to have everything to do with this. I am to enter the house and open the garage. I’m not sure if that’s legal or if that’s a violation of privacy but it’s not like I have a choice here. So I did as I was told. That’s practically what made the tenant so upset. He caught me entering on surveillance. I don’t even know he installed cameras. He says my mom broke the law and now he’s going to sleep on it.

If he moves, then we have to find a new tenant and probably the months the house will be empty will probably have my mom on edge again and everything will end up to be my fault again. So I’ll pray that the tenant stays.

Meanwhile, I think this should teach mom to be less nosy and demanding. But come on, if she ever learns anything, she would be nicer and less meaner.
