Share Your World – 2015 Week #36

If you were a pen, what type, style and color would you be?

I don’t know, really. I thought I would imagine myself as an old-fashion pen. Instead, I think I am a regular ballpoint pen. I’m casual, nothing fancy, though I like to be. So a cheap pen it is.

How many languages do you you speak?2013-10-14 20.53.24

I consider English to be my native language but it’s far from it. My native language is Chinese, my hometown’s dialect which is becoming extinct as more and more northerners are moving down, polluting my hometown with mandarin speakers as well as idiotic parents urging their children to speak mandarin and English at home instead of their native dialect.

Anyway, to conclude, I speak mandarin, Cantonese, my hometown dialect, and English. I tried learning French and Spanish but I gave up after a week. English is way easier.

Are you a listener or talker?

Judging from the answer of the previous question, you can say I’m a talker even though I may not look like it. I have a lot of trouble listening to other people because it seems like all people do is lecture me.

Rather Have:  Which would you rather have, 2 million dollars or true love?

I would rather have the 2 million dollars just because I’m desperate at the moment. Okay, not really but with 2 million dollars, I can accomplish a lot of things. True love? I can find that later.

  1. This blog hop is so fun and interesting to see how everyone responds. I think it is sad that so many of the native languages are being lost because the children are not being taught the languages their ancestors spoke. Then again, many centuries ago, my ancestors came to this country, and those who came learned to speak English also, hence I don’t speak the language of my ancestors either.
