I took this picture out of boredom. We were in Las Vegas last year for a banquet. It was a gathering of people from my hometown as well as neighboring cities. I was surprised how many people showed up and was also surprised to be in the same room where we all spoke the same dialect. It was surreal because my dialect is becoming extinct and to find so many people still speak it was so cool.
We were the first ones to arrive at the banquet and as I took this picture, we were waiting for others to arrive from all around the U.S.

This picture is from two weeks ago. The day was chilly and what do I like to do on chilly days? Wrap myself in a soft warm blanket with a nice cup of hot cocoa.

Finally, I took this picture early this summer from the top of a fountain at my school. I walked by, thought it was nice, pulled out my camera, and clicked away.
Hope you enjoyed my selection.

Lovely photos, Yinglan. I have to chuckle when I imagine you at this beautiful place setting and being bored. I love the photo from the fountain.

Thank you. 🙂 Unfortunately, other than the good food, the event was quite boring since I didn’t know anyone there and there aren’t anyone my age there.

I would be bored too if I were you. But it’s nice you got to meet others that spoke your mother language.

Yeah, it was sure nice to have someone other than my mom to speak my dialect.
