This week, I will be doing Photo of the Day and as I said on the first day of the year, I will be alternating each week. Last week was Thought of the Day, this week is Photo of the Day, and next week will be Humor of the Day. I hope you enjoy.
I took this picture the morning after I arrived in China. I stayed with my elder aunt the first night since my aunt was still on a plane. I took this picture at around 7:30 AM, wondering for a moment what happened to the blue sky. Then I remembered I was in China, there’s rarely blue skies. I have a feeling it will take me a while to adjust to the idea of the constantly gloomy sky.

I hope you will enjoy your stay to the fullest 🙂

Are these the front of the same buildings? They are really nice! Are the skies gloomy because of smog or is that just the weather there that makes them gloomy?

Actually, I think there are a few separate buildings there. They just look identical, I think to confuse people. 😀 Yeah, it’s gloomy because of the haze and smog. There’s an incoming storm which I hope it’ll wash away the haze and clear the air.

I have been reading in the news that the smog is really bad in China. I hope the rain clears the air too! I would hate it if you had to wear a mask the whole time you are there.

The smog isn’t very bad here. Northern China has bad smog but southern China is okay. The air quality here is yellow which it’s better than red or purple.

Oh, I wondered about the smog in the different areas of China. Good to know it isn’t bad where you are.
