Photo of the Day!

If you are wondering what I did for my Labor day, it’s absolutely nothing. I went to bed at my usual time and woke up after 9 am each morning. It was heavenly and the most sleep I’ve had in a long time. Then it was little things like lunch and chores that kept me busy for the rest of the day. So not much went on. I’m going to miss this three-day weekend because I’m not going to have one until Thanksgiving. Ugh!

Anyway, this was where I was last Labor Day – up the mountains, hiking.

    1. Yep! I don’t know why I didn’t notice this from my other jobs because I’ve been working for 5 years already but I’ve never counted the days until the next holiday day off before. Maybe because I was working short hours then and long hours now. 😀

  1. That’s a long haul in the U.S. We have Thanksgiving at the beginning of October and Remberence Day (for the veterans ad wars etc…) in mid-November so it’s not the worst. So I feel bad you have to wait so long until mid/end November.

I’m glad you’re.ax yesterday. Still looking at other potential jobs?

    1. So lucky the Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. We have Remembrance Day here too. It’s November 11 but very few of us gets a day off. In fact, I think only government employees get the day off, not us normal hardworking folks. 🙂

I’m still looking for other jobs but I’m taking my time now that my current job is getting busy.

      1. Sounds good to me. Here too certain places get November 11th off, others don’t. To me it’s a no brainer people should have it off to think about those who sacrificed for
us and to attend a ceremony, something like that. It’s not a topic u want people to take for granted!
Glad your job is busy, goes quickly then!

      2. When I was doing my first undergraduate, the university I went to would have members of the arm forces come and light off a few canons on campus on November 11. It was a little frightening (because the ground shook) yet spectacular.

      3. That would be very cool and also as you said frightening. Imagine how they used to use canons in the war and on ships. The roar and noise would’ve been crazy loud and scary!
