Good morning and thank you for joining me for this lovely chat on this cold Saturday. At last, Autumn is here. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has delivered winter instead. I experienced a temperature roller coaster ride this past two weeks. At the end of last week, the temperature went from the upper 80’s to the mid-70’s and then suddenly to the 50’s. This week has been in the 40’s and 50’s. Brrrr…
You know the worst part?
There’s no heat in the office because stingy Mr. COO has not yet turned on the gas. Without gas, the furnace won’t run. On Friday, I had to wear three layers of clothing in the office – a t-shirt, a jacket, and down jacket. My colleagues thought I was crazy the day before but on Friday, one of them had worn a wool coat to the office. Feeling the cold, huh?
So what are you having? Because it’s definitely a hot cocoa for me.
Anyway, if we were having coffee or other assortments of hot drinks, I would tell you it’s been a boring week at work. It’s the third week of September, that’s why. I’m most busy at the beginning of the month. After the first two weeks, I’m usually just sitting around watching the days go by.
I would also tell you today is my last day as a 25-year-old. At midnight tonight, I’ll be turning 26. I am semi-excited about this. For one, I’ll be another year older (that’s not exactly exciting) but it would mean I’m another year wiser. For another, I will no longer be in my mid-twenties. I’ll be in my late 20’s. That’s not very exciting either. Why am I excited again?
I’m not sure how I’ll spend today yet. I just know I have to go to Toastmasters this morning – there’s a humorous speech contest today in the club. After that, I guess I’ll go home and read maybe or finally get an opportunity to walk on the treadmill. I’m looking forward to break this past week’s routine:
- 6:15 am wake up, make breakfast for both me and my mom, prepare lunch for both of us, drive to work
- 8:00 am – 5 pm, work
- 6:00 pm – 7 pm: make dinner for myself, my aunt, and mom as well as prepare lunch for the next day
- 7:20 pm: go pick up my mom at the train station
- 8:30 pm: shower, blog, and hop into bed by 10 pm
Finally, if we were having coffee or other assortments of hot drinks, I would show you some pictures from last weekend when I went to the U.S. Air Force 70th Anniversary celebration at the nearby Aerospace Museum.
