I was poking in my backyard last weekend, taking pictures of this year’s beautiful autumn color-change when I noticed something in the tree. Oh look, it’s a bird house, another thing I didn’t know I have in my backyard. This makes me wonder what else do I not know that’s in my yard?

That’s a very nice birdhouse! I hung bird houses in my yard and every one of them became homes to wasp nests! I don’t hang bird houses anymore.

Haha!!! I hope that doesn’t happen to me. I hate wasps, their stings hurt really bad.

Yes, they do hurt! I got stung by 4-5 wasps this past summer. Once they establish your yard as their home (as they did by taking over my bird houses), it’s hard to get rid of them from your yard. It becomes their territory.

I got stung once and I will never ever forget that pain. Those little buggers took over my shed once but I used an extra-strength poison and killed them off. I thought they were gone until I discovered they went and conquered my other shed instead. 😂 So I killed those too. Now, let’s hope they won’t take over that bird house. 🤞

Yes, let’s hope they don’t! Watch the birdhouse and see if you see any wasps flying in and out. If you do. They have taken it over.
