Good Saturday morning! Thank you for joining me. Let’s get some drinks! It’s been another busy week even though it was a four-day workweek. To me though, every day is a busy day. It doesn’t matter now that I’m unemployed (oh yeah, did I tell you that part-time job I mentioned last week was a scam?). There’s something to do every day.
If we were having drinks though, I would say this weekend is a weekend for celebration.
First of all, I completed two modules toward my Virtual Assistant certificate which makes me half-way through. Hooray!
Oh, I forgot, did I mention I was learning to be virtual assistant? I met this very awesome lady at my entrepreneur club a few weeks ago and she was so kind to give me full access to the program at no charge. Apparently, opening an online bookkeeping business is a form of virtual assistant. Anyway, I’m half-way through, so this calls for a celebration.
The other thing worth celebrating is starting a self-hosted blog! Go check it out, if you haven’t and subscribe (there will be a post telling you how). The blog is called “Life’s Sweet Moments” and I am really liking the title. I’m so glad I went with “sweet” instead of “tiny” since I couldn’t get a domain for “Life’s Tiny Moments”. By titling “Life’s Sweet Moments”, it will allow me to occasionally squeeze a food post in there without seeming out of bound for the blog.
I’m still working on some minor kinks to get the blog running smoothly but the site is live and I’m slowly making the migration from this blog.
I’ll admit though, running a self-hosted blog is not as easy as running this blog. Compared to this blog, the new blog is like something on a whole different level. I have more storage, cool plugins, and I can set-up how each of my posts can be found. I’m learning though and it’s totally worth it.
If we were having drinks, I would tell you winter has finally arrived in my neck of the woods. All winter long, I’ve been hearing about snowing on the East Coast, in Texas, even in the UK and I was starting to get jealous because we weren’t getting much snow here until last weekend when Mother Nature finally decided to end the drought. It snowed on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and so far Friday. It’s supposed to snow the weekend and most of next week. Yikes! For once, I’m glad I don’t have to go to work.
If we were having drinks, I would thank you for joining me this weekend and hope to see you again next weekend.
Snow is really pretty there. Glad you enjoy it.

Maybe Boise is a little lower elevation-wise and that’s why it get a less snow.

Awesome news on the VA venture! I always thought that sounded like the perfect remote position, which I dream to have one day. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
