I went to take out the trash on Wednesday night and saw this beautiful full moon. It lit up the whole sky and of course, I couldn’t help it. I grabbed my camera. I shot a few photos but they all made the moon look scrambled. So I decided to experiment by activating the flash and at last, I took a decent photo of the moon.
The camera was zoomed all the way and I cropped out a lot part of the picture. That’s why the moon is looking so big. Boy, I so wish I have a set of telephoto lens for my camera, it would’ve made this picture so much more amazing.

Nice! I’ve not had much luck with moon shots, even with a telephoto.

Really? I’d imagine it’s a little easier to take photos of the moon with a lens that can zoom farther than a regular say 16-50 mm lens.

The longer the focal length, the more need for a slow shutter speed to let in more light, but also the more sensitive to shake, so you need a tripod. Which I am not good at setting up and manipulating, lol

Ah I can see that. Fortunately, I’m great at setting up tripods. 😀
