What are you reading right now?
I am still trying to finish Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I haven’t touched that book for a while because of other things but I really should pick it up again. I’m about a third way through and I am positive the book is absolutely not the same as the movie.
What was your first adult job?
My first adult job was as an English-as-a-Second-Language tutor. This job made me never want to be a teacher ever again. There are some great things that came out of this job though like the fact I began blogging because of it.
What’s your favorite breakfast cereal?
I would say Cheerios and Special K but I only eat those during the summer since it’s too cold to eat it during the winter. You can call that my favorite summer breakfast cereal. My favorite winter breakfast cereal is a berry oatmeal.
Just add a cup of old fashioned rolled oat to a pot along with 1.5 cups of water, when the water boils, close the lid and let the oats simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Then stir in a cup of frozen berries, pour it into a bowl, and enjoy. I’m surprised I don’t have a picture for this. Anyway, the picture on the left basically describes it.
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Seeing this quote made me smile.
I tried to smile this week but it’s been hard.
First of all, I found out I didn’t need to spend over $500 on a Quickbooks class to get my certification after I spent two days taking the class. It turned out I just had to go through free video tutorials.
Getting my certification has been my biggest accomplishment this week was just about the only thing that put a smile on my face. I am now a Certified Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor.
Otherwise, I haven’t been feeling like myself.
Probably because that self-hosted blog is driving me insane. The website crashed yesterday and after that, it kept showing an error and wouldn’t tell me what the error was. I think I’ll cancel the plan. It’s too much for me at the moment. My anxiety is flaring up. The world is feeling like it’s spinning at super speed. I feel like I just need to stick to something manageable like this blog where I just write and post pictures without worrying about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and website indexing and all those technical terms I’m struggling to understand.

Thanks for the comment on self hosting. I don’t think I will try it. WordPress is working on their software again. My site is driving me “crazy” and I am about out mgbytes on this Kindle and the battery has been used too much. I have new one coming which I hope will answer some of my problems.

Yes, I agree. Self-hosting is definitely not for everyone.

I think that keeping this blog rather than going to a self hosted blog is a good decision.
