The forest is, in my opinion, a twisted place. It has its dark side and its light side and each side only reveals itself when one allows. It can be magically beautiful and dark and mysterious at the same time. I think this quote by John Muir represents the forest very well.
And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul. – John Muir
The forest is full of fairy tales and stories. Some of the stories I’ve read came from inspirations in the forest – Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, etc. Therefore, I believe these pictures should represent the twisted nature of the forest.

I’ve never agreed more with a statement. There’s something really magical about the forest – you leave behind the real world and do, in a sense, enter a fairy tale. Lovely pictures!
