Friday Fictioneers: Stuck in the Future

“Crap, we’re stuck.” Em said as she dusted off her dress. A few minutes before, she and her husband, George, leapt from her granddad’s beloved train aka time machine as it hurdled 88-miles-per-hour toward what used to be a ravine.

“What do you mean, we’re stuck?” George shrieked.

“You saw it, right? The time machine getting destroyed?”

“Wasn’t there a bridge in our time?”

Suddenly, her granddad’s words echoed in her mind, “Never travel too far into the future. It’s dangerous as it is in flux. There’s a high probability you’ll get stuck.” Way to tell me that now, grandpa.

  1. “One should always listen to Grandpa’s advice, after all, he’s been around the world a few more times than you.” Advice given to me by my Grandma. LOL! Love the story. Well done!
