
Loosely based on real life events…
I looked up at the elevator and aimed my camera. Snap. Wow, I thought as descriptors filled my head – sparkly, grand, wow. “Why are you taking pictures?” My grandmother asked curiously.
“I’m gonna write about it on my blog.” I replied.
“That’s great. You can write about your emotions in this moment, about your experience visiting a 5-star hotel.”
My emotions in this moment? More descriptors began to load – excited, overwhelmed, anxious. I have never told grandma I can never describe emotions well in my writing. So instead, I just smiled as we rode the elevator to the 70th floor.
