Anne from Slow Shutter Speed is the host for this week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #195 with the topic of Color Expressions.

I agree with Anne, colors affect our emotions. Colors can help bring another dimension to our photos. However, unlike Anne, I’m not into bold colors. They somehow make me anxious. Instead, I’m into soft colors like this pale blue night sky from my recent excursion with my night photography class.
The blue reminds me of tranquility, which was how I felt when I first saw the post-processed version of this photo.

Not all bold colors make me anxious. I think this is a pretty good example of that.

This is my final photo for this week’s topic. I enjoy the colors of nature. I think they bring out a feeling of peace. I quite need this kind of feelings nowadays.
Nice post Yinglan! It also demonstrates how color affects us differently.
